About Patricia Damery

Short Bio:

Patricia Damery is an author and a retired analyst member of the C. G. Jung Institute in San Francisco. Her life has been about seeking the divine in everyday life and is reflected in her writing. Patricia’s writing concerns remembering instinct, becoming more conscious of our personal psyche and our relationships to the animate and inanimate world. She believes this necessitates a shift in consciousness, “re-membering” an older way while also valuing our intellect, and that this shift is critical to the survival of life as we know it.

Long Bio:
Patricia Damery is a retired Jungian analyst living in Napa, California, where she and her husband farmed a Demeter certified Biodynamic organic ranch for years.

She grew up on a small farm in the Midwest in a culture that no longer exists, early on experiencing the pull of spirit of place. Most of her writing concerns the lively experience of the spirit of place. This involves being more conscious not only of the personal psyche but of our relationship to the animate and inanimate world as well. It necessitates a shift in consciousness, a “re-membering” of an older, more open-hearted approach to the natural world and each other while also valuing intellect, a shift critical to the survival of life as we know it.

Her professional writing often offers a Jungian lens on biodynamics as she has practiced it on her ranch, bridging Carl Jung and Rudolf Steiner’s work. Connect on:
